Lash Lift vs. Korean Lash Lift 

There's not much difference between a lash lift and a Korean lash lift.  It uses the same sort of chemicals and products.  It's designed to be quicker and a more gentle application process.  For a regular lash lift, before the first chemical is put on your lashes, a shield is placed on your eyelid and all of your lashes are perfectly placed on the shield.  For a Korean lash lift, there is no need to place the shield on your eyelid as the first chemical is strategically put on your lashes.

Korean Lash Lift Chemicals

There are 2 different kinds of chemicals for lash lifts.  Without getting too technical, there's a more gentle one that takes a little more time to process the lashes called Cysteamine.  This is the chemical that is used for the Korean Lash Lifts.  The other chemical is called TGA which is much faster and is much easier to over-process the lashes.  Either of these can be used for regular lash lifts but only the Cysteamine can be used for Korean Lash Lifts.

How else is the Korean Lash Lift different?

Because the first step of the chemicals softens the lashes, they will be super easy to get onto the shield for step 2.  Sometimes, the longest part of the lash lift is the part where you put the lashes onto the shield and if they're not softened first, they can be stubborn.  This is where the Korean Lash Lift is quicker.

After step 1 is complete, the rest of the lash lift is exactly the same as a regular lash lift to the end of the service.   

Should I get a Korean Lash Lift or a Regular Lash Lift?

There's no wrong choice!  In my opinion, the Korean Lash Lift is slightly quicker and more gentle on the lashes because of the chemicals used.  If done carefully, the regular lash lift can be just as gentle. Now I know that I mentioned that the chemicals for the regular lash lift are quicker but that also depends on the lashes that are being worked on.  So the thicker the lashes, the longer it takes and there's also more room to damage the lashes unlike the Korean Lash Lift.  If you're interested in getting a lash lift, you will need a patch test at least 48 hours before the service.  you can book that here.
